Resting Is Productive exists so every person living with chronic illness feels seen, validated, and supported, with tools made from real lived experience, not guesswork.
My health started declining rapidly in college. What followed was years of uncertainty, misdiagnoses, and a loneliness I wouldn't wish on anyone. Then the answers finally came: POTS, hEDS, MCAS, and May-Thurner.
Resting Is Productive is built on one belief: rest counts, small wins matter, and chronic illness deserves tools made by someone who genuinely gets it. Everything here comes from that, every tracker, tool, and tip was built out of personal experience and real need. And as a creator, I turn the real, funny, and genuinely hard parts into content thousands of spoonies trust, because I live it too.
My husband Ethan is my biggest supporter, and my service dog Chloe, my aussiedoodle shadow, alerts me to flares and reminds me daily that rest is not only okay, it's necessary.
"Spoonie" affectionately refers to people living with chronic illness. It comes from Christine Miserandino's Spoon Theory: imagine starting each day with a limited number of spoons, where every task (showering, cooking, a doctor's visit) costs one or more.
When the spoons run out, they're out. That's why resting isn't laziness. It's how tomorrow's spoons get made.
Spoonie-made tools and comfort for the chronic illness community. Sending spoons. 🥄
